Dialogue Cooperation Sharing
On June 8th, Prof. Alexis Kelekis, the Chairman of the World Conference on Interventional Oncology (WCIO) International Committee, personally met with Mr. Liangjun Sun, the Secretary-General of the CCMA Organizing Committee. They were accompanied by Prof. Michael Sullen, a senior member of WCIO, and Prof. Steven Solomon. Multiple committee members from various associations, including the Society of Interventional Oncology (SIO) in the United States, participated in the dialogue to discuss the establishment of the World Tumor Ablation Association (WTAA) and further cooperation with CCMA.

Secretary-General Liangjun Sun's Introduction: CCMA is committed to establishing an international high-end forum for ablation specialists, facilitating effective communication between China and the world in terms of microwave ablation equipment, technology, experts, and knowledge. Over the past six months, the CCMA organizing committee has been invited multiple times to promote the dissemination of microwave ablation technology and concepts by Chinese ablation experts. Additionally, doctors from over twenty countries have come to China to receive specialized training in microwave ablation techniques. CCMA plays an active role in promoting the application of microwave ablation and facilitating international exchanges.
Prof. Alexis Kelekis expressed his high appreciation for the achievements of CCMA in international exchange and cooperation. He also expressed great optimism for the upcoming establishment of the WTAA association. As important components of international medical institutions, both CCMA and WTAA are expected to play a significant role in the global field of ablation through communication and collaboration. WCIO looks forward to further deepening cooperation among all parties in the future.
Through the dialogue, multiple consensuses have been reached and fruitful results have been achieved. WTAA and CCMA have established connections with global medical institutions, promoting multi-level deepened cooperation. On one hand, this strengthens the integration of Chinese microwave ablation technology and international ablation concepts, providing support for industry development. On the other hand, it plays a leading role in international exchanges and innovative development models. By uniting ablation experts worldwide, the aim is to benefit a larger number of patients with ablation technology.
