Recently, the CCMA International Microwave Ablation Symposium, organized by ECO Medical, successfully concluded at the end of June. This exchange symposium has facilitated international strategic cooperation among hospitals under the "Belt and Road" initiative and deepened international exchanges. It has played a crucial role in standardizing tumor treatment procedures and addressing the "last mile" of clinical application in minimally invasive ablation.
The China Conference on Microwave Ablation (CCMA) is an international academic exchange and collaboration platform for tumor ablation, advocated by ECO Medical in collaboration with global industry associations. It is dedicated to promoting the training and implementation of tumor ablation technology. Currently, dozens of CCMA training centers have been established in 13 countries worldwide, contributing significantly to the progress of the industry and the development of microwave ablation technology. With the assistance of ECO and Chinese experts, more than 30 countries, including Hungary, Lithuania, the United Arab Emirates, and Iraq, have successfully conducted their first microwave ablation surgeries.
Comprehensive Coverage of All Diseases, Sharing Knowledge Generously
This symposium aimed to strengthen international cooperation and provide advanced guidance on microwave ablation technology for clinical doctors from countries along the "Belt and Road" initiative. The conference covered 14 CCMA training centers in Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Shandong, Zhengzhou, Hunan, Dalian, Chongqing, and other regions. It attracted over a hundred experts in the field of ablation from more than 40 countries and regions, including Spain, Hungary, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Mauritius, India, the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Nepal, Indonesia, Nigeria, Taiwan (China), and Thailand.

The symposium provided participants with an exciting and comprehensive learning and exchange platform combining "theory + practice + observation." It covered various aspects such as sharing the latest theories and research findings, discussing challenging cases, observing surgeries, and receiving practical guidance. The clinical applications of microwave ablation were explored for different diseases, including liver, lung, kidney, thyroid tumors, lower limb varicose veins, breast, and uterus.
Experts from different training centers shared their extensive clinical experience and practical cases, delivering a wealth of practical professional knowledge to international experts. They also provided detailed explanations and answers to clinical operations, surgical indications, and other related questions raised by the participants, helping them fully grasp the key points and essence of the subject matter.

Case Presentation and Expert Q&A
In addition, through ablation procedure observation and hands-on simulation exercises, experts from different countries further deepened their understanding of ablation technology and gained better mastery of tumor ablation techniques and key points.

Ablation Procedure Observation
"This has been a fantastic event that has fostered connections between countries, and I will definitely come to China again for further training, perhaps next year," said Dr. Sotalbo from the Philippine General Hospital.
She expressed that the event has been immensely helpful to her and filled with excitement. She is particularly interested in the latest developments in microwave ablation technology, especially those related to thyroid and liver ablation. Hearing experts from different fields share their cases, combined with hands-on guidance, has brought tremendous value in terms of enhancing her ability to perform microwave ablation procedures and providing better medical services to patients upon her return to her home country.
Upholding the Philosophy, Driving Development
The successful organization of the CCMA International Microwave Ablation Symposium has deepened international exchanges and friendly cooperation, while also driving the medical development of countries along the "Belt and Road" initiative. As a leading international academic exchange and collaboration platform for tumor ablation, the CCMA training centers aim to enhance the standardized treatment level of microwave ablation for tumors and promote the widespread application of microwave ablation technology worldwide.
In the future, ECO will continue to collaborate with more industry experts and hold more international exchange symposiums, allowing China's microwave ablation technology to benefit patients in more countries along the "Belt and Road" initiative. This will further advance the implementation of the "last mile" plan globally and contribute more to the health of the entire human population.
